GIGABYTE AORUS
Follow the guide for your motherboard.
Before changing settings
Menu names depend on the model and BIOS version. Check your board manual and change only the listed settings.
Check the boot mode first: Win + R → msinfo32. If BIOS Mode is Legacy, prepare Windows for UEFI before disabling CSM, or the system may fail to boot.
If device encryption or BitLocker is enabled, save your recovery key first. Do not clear TPM or delete Secure Boot keys. Restoring factory keys is not suitable for every setup, especially with multiple operating systems.
This guide covers basic BIOS settings. If the anti-cheat separately requests IOMMU, VBS or a firmware update, follow the instructions for that error.
FACEIT requirementsEntering BIOS
How to open your motherboard settings.
- Restart your computer.
- At the GIGABYTE/AORUS logo, press

For Intel

- Open CPU Configuration (or find it through Favorites).
- Find Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x).
- Set it to
Enabled.
For AMD
- Go to the Tweaker or Settings tab.
- Open the CPU settings section or look through Favorites.

UEFI mode and CSM
Prepare the boot mode for Secure Boot.
If Windows boots in Legacy mode, prepare the switch to UEFI first. Do not disable CSM without checking this.
- Go to the Boot tab.
- Find CSM Support.
- Set it to
Disabled.
Secure Boot often stays hidden while CSM is enabled. After disabling CSM, save with F10, restart and re-enter BIOS.
Secure Boot
Enable Windows Secure Boot.
- Go to the Boot tab.
- Open Secure Boot.
- Set it to
Enabled.
If Secure Boot will not activate
If BIOS shows “Enabled, but Not Active”, the enabled switch does not mean Secure Boot is active. Check the following steps against your motherboard manual first.
- In Secure Boot, change Secure Boot Mode from Standard to Custom.
- Open Key Management when it appears.
- Select Restore Factory Keys.
- Confirm: Install Factory Defaults → Yes.
- Go back. You may return Secure Boot Mode to Standard; the source also describes using Custom.
- Save with
F10and restart. - After restarting, Secure Boot should show Active.
If that did not help:
- Make sure CSM is disabled and the system boots in UEFI mode.
- Try updating BIOS from the Gigabyte website.
Save settings
Apply changes and restart.
F10→ OK → Restart.
