Support Anti-cheat MSI

MSI PRO Series

Follow the guide for your motherboard.

TPM 2.0 Secure Boot UEFI Virtualization
i Before changing settings

Menu names depend on the model and BIOS version. Check your board manual and change only the listed settings.

Check the boot mode first: Win + R → msinfo32. If BIOS Mode is Legacy, prepare Windows for UEFI before disabling CSM, or the system may fail to boot.

If device encryption or BitLocker is enabled, save your recovery key first. Do not clear TPM or delete Secure Boot keys. Restoring factory keys is not suitable for every setup, especially with multiple operating systems.

This guide covers basic BIOS settings. If the anti-cheat separately requests IOMMU, VBS or a firmware update, follow the instructions for that error.

FACEIT requirements

Entering BIOS

How to open your motherboard settings.

  1. Restart → Delete at the MSI logo.
  2. EZ Mode → F7 for Advanced Mode.

Virtualization

Enable processor virtualization support.

On PRO boards, virtualization may be in OC → CPU Features or Settings → Advanced → CPU Configuration, depending on the model and BIOS. Check both locations.

For Intel

  1. OC → CPU Features → Intel Virtualization Technology → Enabled. Or: Settings → Advanced → CPU Configuration → Intel Virtualization Technology → Enabled.

For AMD

  1. OC → CPU Features → SVM Mode → Enabled. Or: Settings → Advanced → CPU Configuration → SVM Mode → Enabled.

TPM 2.0

Enable your computer's security module.

  1. Settings → Security → Trusted Computing → Security Device Support → Enabled.

UEFI mode and CSM

Prepare the boot mode for Secure Boot.

If Windows boots in Legacy mode, prepare the switch to UEFI first. Do not disable CSM without checking this.

  1. If Windows 10 WHQL Support appears instead of BIOS UEFI/CSM Mode, check its available values in the board manual: enabling UEFI varies by BIOS.

Secure Boot

Enable Windows Secure Boot.

  1. Settings → Advanced → Windows OS Configuration → Secure Boot → Enabled.
If Secure Boot will not activate
  1. If grayed out, save with F10, restart and return to BIOS.
  2. If activation fails: Key Management → Install Default Secure Boot Keys.

Save settings

Apply changes and restart.

  1. F10 → OK → Restart.
